Early this Sunday, the Israeli army executed a series of raids and arrests across cities and towns in the occupied West Bank, leading to armed confrontations with Palestinians.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of a Palestinian shot by Israeli forces in Nablus (north), increasing the martyr count in the West Bank to 186 since October 7th of the previous year.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli army stormed the cities of Tulkarm, Hebron, Tubas, and towns including Hajjah, Burqa, Tayasir, Samu, Dura Al-Qara, and Bil’in.

Witnesses also stated that clashes and armed confrontations occurred between the army and Palestinians in the city of Tubas (north), resulting in two citizens being shot with live ammunition, who were then transferred to the hospital for treatment. They also noted that the Israeli forces arrested a citizen before withdrawing from Tubas.

In Tulkarm (north), the Israeli army invaded the city, detonated the entrance of a Palestinian’s home, and then arrested him.

In the town of Burqa near Nablus, Israeli special forces raided the town and searched Palestinian homes, causing extensive damage, according to local sources. The sources added that the army arrested four citizens and exploded the vehicle of prisoner Mahmoud Hajjah.

In Hajjah town east of Qalqilya (north), confrontations erupted between dozens of Palestinians and the Israeli army during the town’s invasion.

In Hebron, south of the West Bank, occupying forces arrested released prisoner Hazem Al-Fakhouri (husband of the detained writer Lama Khater) after raiding his home and breaking its contents, according to eyewitnesses.

Additionally, the Israeli army conducted a significant arrest campaign in the towns of Na’alin west of Ramallah and Halhul near Hebron.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that the General Authority for Civil Affairs (an official communication body with Israel) informed them of the martyrdom of the young man Montaser Mohammed Amin Mustafa Saif (34 years old), who died from wounds inflicted by Israeli gunfire earlier in the day in the town of Burqa in the Nablus district.

An eyewitness told Anadolu Agency that an Israeli force invaded the town early this Sunday to arrest four young men inside a house. While some attempted to flee, the soldiers opened fire, injuring two of them, before the Ministry of Health announced the death of one of them.

Last Saturday evening, the Israeli army conducted widespread raids into Palestinian cities, towns, and camps, arresting 30 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club (a non-governmental organization).

Various parts of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, experience daily raids and invasions by the occupation forces, accompanied by confrontations, arrests, gunfire, and tear gas against Palestinians, concurrent with repeated attacks by settlers.

The escalation has intensified amidst the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip for 37 days, which has thus far resulted in over 11,000 martyrs, including more than 8,000 children and women, and over 28,000 injuries, according to official Palestinian sources.
