General Saïd Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, has extended his warmest congratulations to all officers, non-commissioned officers, rank and file soldiers, and civilian employees on the occasion of the New Year 2026.
In his message, General Chengriha stated, “As we welcome the New Year 2026, I am pleased to extend my sincerest congratulations and best wishes to all members of the People’s National Army, the loyal successor to the National Liberation Army. I pray to God Almighty to grant you good health and well-being, and to bring you, your families, and loved ones abundant goodness and blessings, and further success in performing your noble duties in service of the nation and the people.”
General Chengriha emphasized the importance of the significant efforts made by members of the People’s National Army across various regions of the country, particularly along the national borders and in the mountains, plains, and valleys. He stressed the need to continue focusing on combat readiness, ensuring permanent preparedness to face various emergencies and adapt to regional and international developments.
He also called for increased efforts in combating remaining terrorist groups by fostering a spirit of innovation and initiative, and working intelligently and vigilantly to eliminate this scourge completely. Additionally, he urged vigilance in confronting organized crime networks, especially drug trafficking, and thwarting all plans that target Algeria’s unity, security, and stability.
The General highlighted that these efforts reflect the commitment of the People’s National Army personnel to the sacrifices of their predecessors from the liberation revolution and their comrades who sacrificed their lives in defense of the Republic. He affirmed that the Algerian people have complete confidence in their army to continue the path of construction and progress.
He further urged all personnel to continue developing their capabilities and expertise in various operational and scientific fields, mastering modern equipment and weapon systems, while maintaining discipline, dedication to work, and embracing national values, taking pride in belonging to the People’s National Army, which will remain the impenetrable fortress against all threats and conspiracies targeting Algeria.
