Clashes Erupt in Hebron, Settlers Attack Salfit Village

Tensions flared across the West Bank as clashes erupted between Palestinian residents and Israeli forces in Hebron, while a separate incident saw settlers attack a village near Salfit.

In Hebron, reports indicate that Israeli forces entered the city of Al-Dhahiriya, south of Hebron, under the cover of night. A drone was deployed over the area as soldiers conducted patrols throughout the city’s neighborhoods. Local sources stated that live ammunition was used in the central part of the city, resulting in at least one Palestinian injury. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that a young man was transferred to a local hospital after being shot in the foot.

Similar clashes unfolded in the Al-Aroub refugee camp, north of Hebron. Simultaneously, reports emerged of settlers entering Palestinian homes in the village of Birin, east of Hebron, engaging in provocative actions amongst the residents. In Idhna, west of Hebron, one Palestinian sustained minor injuries following an Israeli military incursion into the town. According to reports, the Israeli forces fired live ammunition and sound grenades during the operation.

Further north, Israeli forces entered the village of Tayasir, east of Tubas, with military vehicles. No injuries or arrests were reported in that incident.

Settler Violence Escalates

In the northern West Bank, near Salfit, a group of Israeli settlers reportedly attacked the outskirts of Farha village, firing live ammunition into the air. According to a member of the Farha village council, approximately 50 settlers were involved in the attack, causing fear and panic among the local population. The Israeli military subsequently entered the village, purportedly to secure the area and protect the settlers. No injuries were reported in this incident.

Additionally, settlers reportedly attacked the home of a Palestinian resident in Singel, north of Ramallah, causing damage to the property. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
