Venezuela Accuses Washington of Orchestrating Attacks

Caracas, Venezuela – The Venezuelan government has issued a strong condemnation, accusing the United States of being behind a series of attacks targeting both civilian and military sites within the country. The Foreign Ministry released a statement denouncing what it described as a “blatant act of aggression” and a violation of the United Nations charter, posing a direct threat to international peace and security.

According to the Venezuelan authorities, the attacks caused damage in central Caracas, impacting residential areas and vital infrastructure. The government alleges that the United States is the driving force behind these destabilizing actions.

The Foreign Ministry’s statement emphasized that any attempts to force regime change would fail, just as previous attempts have. It asserted that the true aim of these attacks is to seize control of Venezuela’s strategic resources. The statement further added that Venezuela reserves the right to defend its sovereignty and its people.

President Nicolas Maduro has announced the activation of national defense plans to safeguard the entire national territory, calling on all patriotic forces to participate in a general mobilization. The government reiterated its commitment to exercising its legitimate right to self-defense and affirmed its intention to file formal complaints before the United Nations Security Council and other regional and international organizations.

Venezuela seeks to address what it calls aggression and demand accountability from those responsible. The government vows to pursue all available legal and diplomatic avenues to protect its sovereignty and stability. This is a developing story and DZWatch will continue to provide updates as they become available.
