Algerian Super Cup Final Set for January 17th

The Algerian Professional Football League (LPF) has announced the date and venue for the 2025 Algerian Super Cup final. The highly anticipated match between Mouloudia Club d’Alger (MCA) and USM Alger (USMA) is scheduled for January 17th at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki, Algiers.

Kick-off is slated for 17:00 local time. The LPF released a statement highlighting the significance of the fixture.

“The Algerian Professional Football League is pleased to announce the holding of the 2025 Algerian Super Cup, in a match that promises to be exceptional and full of excitement, bringing together Mouloudia Club d’Alger, champion of the 2024-2025 season, and USM Alger, winner of the 2025 Algerian Cup,” the statement read.

The LPF emphasized that the Algerian Super Cup is a major sporting event on the Algerian football calendar, known for its competitive intensity and significant fan interest. This year’s edition pits the league champions against the cup winners in a battle for supremacy.

MCA enters the Super Cup as the defending champion, having won the 2024 title against CR Belouizdad in a penalty shootout (4-3) after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.
