Algeria Post Clarifies Prohibited Items for Postal Parcels

Algiers – Algeria Post has issued a clarification regarding items prohibited from being sent via its postal network. The announcement aims to reinforce safety protocols, protect postal workers, ensure the secure delivery of mail, and comply with national and international regulations.

According to Algeria Post, parcels that pose a risk to personnel or could damage other mail are strictly forbidden. This includes explosive or flammable items, which represent a direct threat to public safety and security.

The postal service also emphasized the prohibition of sending parcels containing indecent or immoral content. Furthermore, items subject to customs duties destined for countries that do not permit such shipments are also restricted, regardless of their form.

The dispatch of Algerian or foreign currency in circulation via mail is also prohibited. Similarly, sending banknotes or bank drafts inside ordinary parcels addressed to the bearer is forbidden to avoid potential legal or security risks.
