National Authority for Personal Data Protection Announces Major Recruitment Drive

Algiers, January 6, 2026 – The National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (ANPDP) has announced the commencement of a significant recruitment campaign, signaling a major boost to its operational capacity.

According to a statement released by the ANPDP, the authority is seeking to employ 60 inspectors and 60 auditors. This recruitment drive is intended to strengthen the agency’s human resources and enable it to effectively fulfill its regulatory and supervisory responsibilities.

The ANPDP stated that this recruitment effort reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing the system for protecting personal data and establishing principles of legality and transparency in its processing. It also aims to reinforce the Authority’s ability to carry out its regulatory and monitoring functions comprehensively.

“This initiative aligns with the ANPDP’s ongoing efforts to adapt to the rapid advancements in the field of digitalization and to promote a culture of compliance with personal data protection regulations,” the statement emphasized. “Ultimately, this contributes to building trust among various stakeholders and actors.”

The newly recruited personnel will be tasked with conducting inspections and audits across public and private institutions, as well as among individuals involved in processing personal data. The objective is to ensure adherence to existing laws and regulations in this area, safeguarding individual rights and fundamental freedoms.
