Gaza Strip – Israeli artillery fire targeted areas east of Gaza City and Khan Younis on Tuesday, with reports of building demolitions in the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip. The shelling, accompanied by gunfire from military vehicles, focused on areas including the Al-Tuffah neighborhood.
Reports indicate that the eastern areas of Khan Younis, already under Israeli control, were also subjected to artillery fire. As of now, there have been no immediate reports of casualties. The artillery strikes coincided with the firing of machine guns by tanks and military vehicles in the eastern sectors of Khan Younis (south), Gaza City, and Jabalia (north). Israeli warships reportedly opened fire towards the coast of Gaza City, though no injuries were reported.
In a separate development, the Israeli military reportedly carried out a series of controlled demolitions within areas under its control in the northern and southern Gaza Strip. These demolitions reportedly affected buildings and structures in areas east of Jabalia. The resulting explosions were heard across several parts of the northern Gaza Strip, with plumes of smoke visible rising from the affected areas.
Similar explosions were heard in the southern Gaza Strip, originating from demolition operations in areas east of Khan Younis under Israeli military control. Military vehicles also reportedly fired towards civilian homes in the area. It remains unclear if the explosions and gunfire resulted in casualties or injuries among the Palestinian population.
Earlier on Tuesday, a Palestinian child was reportedly killed by Israeli shelling east of Khan Younis, in an area from which Israeli forces had withdrawn following the ceasefire agreement. The Israeli military continues to be accused of daily violations of the agreement, which came into effect on October 10, 2025.
