Key Dates Set for Second Term Assessments and Councils

The Ministry of Education has announced the schedule for student assessments, examinations, and departmental councils for the second term of the 2025-2026 academic year. This follows the guidelines outlined in Decree No. 88, dated August 26, 2025, which pertains to school holiday schedules and the organization of educational assessments.

This schedule is designed to ensure consistent monitoring of academic progress and to streamline the various educational activities related to tests, exams, and departmental councils. The goal is to facilitate an objective evaluation of student performance and improve teaching methods within educational institutions.

Continuous Assessment Period

The period for formal continuous assessment tests has been set from Sunday, January 25, 2026, to Thursday, February 19, 2026. Subject teachers and department heads will be responsible for preparing the test schedule in coordination with the teaching staff, ensuring a balanced program and avoiding student overload.

Coordination Meeting

In preparation for the second term examinations, a coordination meeting with subject matter coordinators will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026. This meeting aims to standardize approaches and ensure consistency in the preparation of exam topics. The schedule takes into account that Wednesday, February 18, 2026, marks the first day of Ramadan.

Examination Period

The period for withdrawing examination papers is from Sunday, February 22, 2026, to Thursday, March 5, 2026. The second term examinations will be conducted from Sunday, March 8, to Thursday, March 12, 2026. Subject teachers will supervise the unification of exam topics, adhering to the approved exam construction guidelines.

Exam Correction and Result Disclosure

The period for correcting exams with students is set for Sunday, March 15, and Monday, March 16, 2026. The Ministry has emphasized the need to allow students to review their papers and results before they are officially posted, ensuring transparency and fairness in the assessment process.

The deadline for submitting grades and holding departmental councils will follow the completion of the examination and correction period. Further details regarding these deadlines will be announced shortly.
