Education Ministry Clarifies Teacher Recruitment Application Status

Algiers, January 8, 2026 – The Ministry of National Education issued a statement Thursday to address concerns from candidates who applied for teaching positions based on their qualifications for the year 2025. The statement focuses on the status of applications submitted through the National Office for Examinations and Competitions’ digital platform.

The Ministry clarified the meaning of the status indicators displayed on the platform in response to candidates’ online inquiries. A status of “File Compliant” signifies that the application has been reviewed and approved by the relevant committee within the Directorate of Education. This indicates that the applicant has met all legal requirements for employment and is eligible to proceed to the oral interview stage of the recruitment process.

Conversely, a status of “File Non-Compliant” indicates that the application, after review by the designated committee, did not meet the necessary legal criteria for employment. However, the Ministry emphasized that candidates with this status have the opportunity to rectify their application. They can electronically amend their registered data and/or re-upload supporting documents via the platform. The revised application will then be re-evaluated.

The status “Under Review” signifies that the application is currently awaiting examination and processing by the relevant committee. The Ministry attributed this status to the high volume of applications received and the commitment to ensuring that all applications receive due attention, safeguarding the rights of all candidates.

The Ministry concluded by stating that the final deadline for application review is dependent on the completion of the review and re-review process by the committees within the Directorates of Education. Following this, the final lists of accepted candidates eligible for the oral interview will be announced.
