Severe Thunderstorms and Ice Formation Expected in Several Eastern Wilayas

DZWatch Weather – Several eastern wilayas of Algeria are bracing for significant rainfall today, Friday, with the potential for ice formation in the interior regions and high plateaus during the morning hours.

According to meteorological services, the northern regions will experience partly sunny to partly cloudy conditions. However, the following wilayas are specifically expected to receive rainfall: Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, and El Tarf.

Coastal temperatures will range between 16 and 20 degrees Celsius, while inland areas can expect temperatures between 8 and 17 degrees Celsius. Wind speeds are predicted to reach up to 60 kilometers per hour in some areas.

In contrast, the southern regions of the country will enjoy sunny weather with temperatures ranging from 14 to 30 degrees Celsius. Wind speeds in the south are expected to reach up to 40 kilometers per hour.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to exercise caution and take necessary precautions due to the potential for hazardous weather conditions. Drivers should be particularly careful on roads where ice formation is possible.
