Algeria’s Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security, Faisal Ben Taleb, announced the launch of a new platform designed to align training outputs with labor market needs. Named “Tawjih,” this electronic platform aims to assist individuals in secondary, university, and vocational education in identifying the training specialties in demand within the job market. In his speech at the national meeting for provincial employment directors and heads of provincial employment branches, Ben Taleb highlighted the development of a unique electronic program, “Tawjih.” This initiative is a part of the ministry’s broader effort to integrate technology into employment services. The National Employment Agency has developed 37 electronic services, including the interactive “Minhaty” platform. This platform has streamlined the management and purification of the unemployment grant beneficiary lists and has facilitated the transition of contracts from the social integration activities scheme to indefinite part-time contracts.

Additionally, the “Al-Waseet Online” platform, an innovative job matching service, aims to bring transparency in processing job offers and requests. The minister also mentioned the “Grand Accounts System,” enabling large companies to deposit and process their job offers rapidly while allowing local authorities to monitor the process from start to finish. Another notable service is the “Al-Mursal” SMS feature, which provides job seekers with information about job offers and the status of their applications.

Furthermore, Ben Taleb introduced the Algerian Blog for Professions and Jobs, “NAME,” recently approved in a government meeting. This blog is set to become a reference for economic institutions and public facilities for employment, addressing challenges in securing job positions.
