President Donald Trump stated on Monday that Iranian leaders have reached out to Washington seeking negotiations, following his administration’s threats of potential action in response to ongoing protests within Iran. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, President Trump asserted, “The leaders of Iran contacted us yesterday.” He further elaborated, “A meeting is being set up… They want to negotiate, but,” he added, “we may have to move before we meet.”

He mentioned discussing this matter with Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of SpaceX, which operates the Starlink satellite internet service.

We will be making a decision,” he stated.
