Algiers – Following a period of relatively stable weather across the northern regions, Algeria is bracing for a return of unsettled conditions starting Wednesday. Expect colder temperatures and rainfall, particularly affecting the western provinces.
According to meteorological forecasts, Tuesday will likely remain calm and clear across most northern wilayas. However, a significant shift is anticipated from Wednesday afternoon, with increasing cloud cover and rainfall expected to spread across several western regions.
The affected provinces are expected to include Oran, Sidi Bel Abbes, Tiaret, and Chlef, in addition to Tindouf and Beni Abbes. There is a possibility that the weather system could extend its influence to neighboring provinces, depending on how the situation develops.
Temperature drops are also forecast. Low temperatures are expected to persist until at least Thursday, especially during the night and early morning hours. Inland areas could see temperatures ranging between -4 and 0 degrees Celsius. Coastal regions are predicted to experience lows between 7 and 10 degrees Celsius.
Daytime high temperatures are expected to range between 11 and 20 degrees Celsius across most of the northern wilayas.
