Algiers, January 13, 2026 – A 67-year-old man was killed yesterday evening in a hit-and-run accident in the Rouiba district of Algiers, the capital city. The incident occurred on the East-West highway, heading towards Dar El Beida, within the municipality and district of Rouiba.
According to a statement released by the Civil Protection services, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:36 PM following reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim with fatal injuries.
