Currency Seizure at Batna Airport Thwarts Smuggling Attempt

Batna, Algeria – Customs officials at Mostefa Ben Boulaid International Airport in Batna have intercepted a significant amount of foreign currency, preventing a potential smuggling operation. The seizure took place during a routine inspection of an international flight on Thursday.

According to a statement released by the General Directorate of Customs, authorities discovered two individuals attempting to smuggle a total of 34,060 Euros and 4,110 Saudi Riyals. The currency was reportedly concealed, though specific details of the concealment were not disclosed.
