Serious Bus Accident in Laghouat Injures 19

Laghouat, Algeria – A serious traffic accident in the early hours of this morning in the Laghouat province resulted in injuries to 19 people. A passenger bus veered off course and overturned, causing injuries of varying severity to those on board.

Civil Protection services reported that they intervened at 2:05 AM following the accident at the Al-Mouraiga intersection, within the municipality and district of Laghouat. The accident involved a bus carrying passengers whose ages ranged from 20 to 70 years old. Five of the injured were reported to be in a state of shock.

According to the Civil Protection services, first aid was administered to the injured at the scene before they were quickly transported to the local hospital to receive the necessary treatment. All available personnel and equipment were deployed to ensure a rapid and effective response.

The Civil Protection is renewing its call to road users to exercise caution and respect traffic safety rules, especially during nighttime travel and on national roads, in order to prevent such tragic accidents.
