Algiers, DZWatch – Minister of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, affirmed yesterday that the National Agency for Housing Improvement and Development (AADL) is diligently executing its housing program. This statement comes despite critical campaigns, particularly from social media pages based abroad, that have targeted the subscription phase.
During a public session at the People’s National Assembly dedicated to oral questions, Minister Belaribi clarified that all concerns raised by subscribers are being addressed and monitored regularly. He emphasized that every subscriber who meets the eligibility criteria will automatically receive their housing unit.
Belaribi highlighted that AADL has benefited from the experience gained in managing the previous AADL 1 and AADL 2 programs. This experience is being leveraged to improve the performance of the current program, with a complete reliance on digitization, including electronic payments. The minister pointed out that this digital approach has helped avoid the long queues that were common in the past.
“More than 300,000 subscribers have already paid the first installment of the initial tranche,” Belaribi stated. He reiterated the agency’s commitment to ensuring the program proceeds in an organized and transparent manner, reflecting the state’s ongoing efforts to provide housing for its citizens.
The minister’s statements aim to reassure subscribers amidst anxieties and underscore the government’s dedication to delivering on its housing commitments. The complete digitization of the AADL 3 program marks a significant step towards efficiency and transparency in the allocation of housing units.
