Heavy Snow and Thunderstorms Expected Across Several Algerian Regions

Several regions across Algeria are bracing for heavy thunderstorms and snowfall today, according to the national weather service. A special weather advisory has been issued, urging citizens to exercise caution.

The advisory indicates that thunderstorms are expected to continue until 9:00 PM, with rainfall amounts ranging between 20 and 40 millimeters. The affected regions include areas east of Tiaret, Laghouat, Djelfa, M’Sila, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, and Bejaia.

Significant snowfall is also anticipated in higher elevations. Areas above 1000 to 1200 meters can expect snow accumulation of 10 to 15 centimeters. This snowy weather pattern is predicted to last until 12:00 PM.

The regions expected to receive snowfall include Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Laghouat, and Djelfa.
