Chief of Staff Chengriha Arrives in Qatar for Official Visit

Doha, Qatar – Lieutenant General Said Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army of Algeria, arrived in Qatar today for an official visit. The visit comes at the invitation of Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces.

Lieutenant General Chengriha is scheduled to participate in the ninth edition of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2026). DIMDEX is a prominent event in the maritime defense industry, attracting key players from around the globe.

Upon arrival at Doha International Airport, Lieutenant General Chengriha was greeted by Major General Hamad bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, as well as the Algerian Ambassador to Qatar, Saleh Attia.

During his visit, Lieutenant General Chengriha is expected to hold meetings with several Qatari officials to discuss ways to strengthen and develop bilateral military cooperation. These discussions will focus on serving the mutual interests of both nations and enhancing coordination in areas of common interest.

This visit underscores the strong relationship between Algeria and Qatar and highlights their commitment to fostering collaboration in the defense sector. The discussions are anticipated to further solidify ties and promote greater cooperation in addressing regional security challenges.
