Russian Duma Delegation Visits Algeria to Boost Parliamentary Ties

A delegation from the Russian State Duma arrived in Algiers yesterday for an official visit scheduled from January 19th to 23rd, according to a statement from the People’s National Assembly. The visit aims to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between Algeria and Russia.

The Russian delegation, led by Dmitry Sablin, coordinator of the group of deputies responsible for relations with the parliaments of the Middle East and North Africa, was received at Houari Boumediene International Airport by members of the Algerian-Russian parliamentary friendship group, headed by its chairman, Abdel Salam Bechagha.

The People’s National Assembly emphasized that this visit falls within the framework of strengthening cooperation and parliamentary consultation between the two friendly countries.
