Kamala Harris Announces Washington’s Plan for Gaza’s Future Today

Vice President Kamala Harris is set to reveal today, Saturday, the key objectives of Washington’s strategy following the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza since October 7. The conflict has tragically resulted in the death of over 15,000 Palestinian civilians, mostly women and children, ,Washington’s Plan for Gaza’s Future.

Participating in a series of meetings at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 28) in Dubai, delegated by President Joe Biden, Harris’s agenda includes addressing the post-war situation in Gaza. Meanwhile, President Biden is focusing on the Israeli war in Gaza.

A White House official noted, “Any post-conflict plan in Gaza must include a clear political horizon for the Palestinian people and ensure the reunification of Gaza and the West Bank under one entity.”

The Palestinian Authority, supported by Western powers, governs parts of the occupied West Bank, while Gaza has been under the administration of the Hamas government since 2007.

According to American sources, the realistic management of Gaza in the post-war phase remains a complex issue for regional leaders and Middle East experts.

Discussion and Skepticism
U.S. officials are discussing ways to strengthen the Palestinian Authority to extend its governance to include Gaza. However, a firm plan has yet to be agreed upon.

In private conversations, some U.S. officials expressed doubts about the Palestinian Authority’s capability to manage Gaza post-conflict.

Critics have accused the Palestinian Authority of corruption and mismanagement. Polls indicate its credibility is low among the Palestinian population.
