Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkoub, received a delegation from the Suhail Bahwan Holding Group on Tuesday at the ministry headquarters. The delegation was headed by Sheikh Saad Suhail Bahwan, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Mines, the meeting was attended by the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to Algeria, Saif Rashed Al-Badai, and the CEO of Sonatrach Group, Noureddine Daoudi, along with ministry officials.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the existing partnership between Sonatrach Group and Suhail Bahwan Holding Group. They discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and expand investments, particularly in the hydrocarbons and petrochemicals sectors, with a focus on fertilizer production projects such as ammonia and urea.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to explore available investment opportunities in Algeria and to learn about the reforms and facilities, as well as the new legal and regulatory frameworks approved by Algeria to improve the business climate and encourage foreign investment.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their shared desire to strengthen economic cooperation between Algeria and the Sultanate of Oman by strengthening the existing partnership between Sonatrach Group and Suhail Bahwan Holding Group. This aims to support sustainable development and consolidate economic relations between the two countries.
This partnership is expected to boost Algeria’s hydrocarbon sector and foster stronger ties with Oman.
