Tragedy in Medea: House Fire Claims Three Lives

Medea, Algeria – A devastating house fire in the Boughezoul municipality of Medea province resulted in the deaths of three individuals on Saturday. An additional four people sustained injuries, according to a statement released by the Civil Protection services.

The incident, triggered by a butane gas leak and subsequent explosion, occurred at approximately 8:22 PM local time. The affected residence was a ground-floor dwelling located in the Belghouati area of Boughezoul, within the Chehbounia district.

The Civil Protection statement confirmed the deaths of three females, aged 6, 50, and 90 years old. Their remains have been transported to the morgue at the local hospital.

Four other individuals suffered burns of varying degrees, with ages ranging from 30 months to 57 years. These injured parties were reportedly transported to medical facilities by private citizens before emergency services arrived.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the gas leak and explosion to determine the precise cause of the tragic event. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
