ACS Acquires PAC Plastic, Boosting National Chemical Portfolio

Tissemsilt, Algeria – In a move aimed at revitalizing confiscated assets and reintegrating them into the national economy, PAC Plastic (formerly Algeria Components) was officially transferred to the Algerian Chemical Specialties Holding Company (ACS) on Saturday.

The official handover of assets from the State Property Directorate to HOLDING_ACS, represented by its CEO Samir Yahiaoui, took place in Tissemsilt. Yahiaoui presided over an extraordinary general assembly to establish the new company, GENERAL PLASTIC INJECTION (GPI), within the same region. This strategic decision ensures the smooth resumption of operations, safeguards existing production capabilities, and initiates a new phase of management and development.

A key priority is maintaining employment for current staff and contractors previously associated with PAC Plastic.

This acquisition marks a pivotal moment in the rehabilitation of this industrial unit. By integrating it into the ACS portfolio, the aim is to optimize production resources, enhance performance, and bolster industrial value-added.

The Algerian Chemical Specialties Holding Company reaffirms its commitment to realizing the government’s directives in reactivating recovered assets. This is achieved through a modern economic approach focused on creating added value, supporting local development in Tissemsilt, and actively contributing to the strengthening of the national industrial and economic fabric.
