Algiers, January 27, 2026 – The Minister of Communication, Zouhir Bouamama, today held a working meeting with representatives from accredited online media outlets at the Ministry headquarters.

Attendees acknowledged President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s support for electronic press in Algeria, particularly through the enactment of legislation to regulate the sector and provide financial support to ensure the sustainability of these media institutions.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to commend the vital role the national media plays in the ongoing battle of awareness. Algeria, strengthened by the awareness of its citizens and their support for state institutions, is actively countering systematic campaigns orchestrated from abroad aimed at undermining its internal stability.
