Algerian Pilgrims to Receive 10 Million Centimes in Cost Support

President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, issued a series of orders and directives on Sunday while chairing a Council of Ministers meeting. President Tebboune ordered Prime Minister Saifi Gharib to ensure the diligent follow-up of the implementation of Council of Ministers and government decisions on the ground.

The President also decided to support the costs for Algerian pilgrims this year with an amount of 10 million centimes, bringing the total cost to 82 million centimes instead of 92 million centimes.

On the economic front, the President emphasized the need to launch the zinc and lead mine project in Oued Amizour in March 2026, which will provide job opportunities and economic benefits for the region and Algeria.

During the Council of Ministers meeting, President Tebboune also tasked Minister of Sports Walid Sadi with conveying his warm congratulations to the national team and its staff, led by national coach Vladimir Petkovic, wishing him a successful journey in the upcoming World Cup.

In the same context, the President extended a great salute to all Algerian fans, especially the diaspora abroad who traveled from all over the world to support the national team in the Africa Cup of Nations.
