In a recent gathering held under the esteemed patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmajid Teboune, the International Forum themed “Social Gains, Economic Challenges” has successfully concluded its proceedings.

The forum, hosted at the Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Center, endorsed a series of recommendations aimed at strengthening social protection mechanisms. These recommendations, following inputs from various ministers of social affairs from Arab and African nations, as well as representatives from international and regional bodies, emphasized the imperative to work towards enhancing and valorizing social gains for the benefit of diverse segments of society. This particularly highlighted the importance of focusing on children, women, and the elderly.

The consensus underscored the ongoing efforts to implement a comprehensive sectoral program encouraging women’s involvement in national production. Emphasis was placed on intensifying efforts to realize joint initiatives that encourage women’s participation in the national workforce.

Additionally, the recommendations stressed the significance of promoting the products of rural women and entrepreneurs internationally. This involves organizing exhibitions with friendly and sisterly nations, reinforcing the healthcare system, and continuing its development, especially in terms of community health.

Participants also recommended the continuous execution of housing projects for various social groups. This goes hand in hand with sustaining support for employment policies, enhancing training skills to align with labor market requirements, and developing irrigation systems to meet the population’s needs. Furthermore, efforts to strengthen collaboration aimed at contributing to these objectives with all accredited actors and international organizations in Algeria were highlighted.
