The Algerian Embassy in Italy, in coordination with the Industrial Union of Turin and Stellantis Algeria, organized an Algerian-Italian economic forum. The meeting was opened by Carola Giorgi, Vice President of the Industrial Union of Turin, alongside the Algerian Ambassador to Italy, Mohamed Khelifi. The forum saw a significant turnout of more than 120 Italian companies and 20 Algerian institutions specializing in automotive accessories and spare parts, aiming to increase the level of integration in this sector in Algeria.
During his speech, the Algerian Ambassador praised the strong economic relationship between Algeria and Italy, emphasizing that it falls within the framework of a mutually beneficial partnership. He highlighted the incentives and facilities provided by the Algerian state to encourage investment, noting the importance of this forum as an opportunity to strengthen partnership relations in the automotive and spare parts industry.
The event also featured a presentation on the investment climate in Algeria and the various facilities provided by the state, presented by representatives of the National Investment Fund and the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency. All incentives and facilities granted to foreign companies in Algeria were reviewed to create a favorable environment for attracting foreign investment.
On the sidelines of the forum, B2B meetings were held between representatives of Italian and Algerian companies. On this occasion, Ambassador Mohamed Khelifi presented a certificate of appreciation to Rochdi Gherraz, recognized as a national talent working in the business sector in northern Italy. Before the start of the forum, a business meeting was held between the Ambassador, the Vice President of the Industrial Union of Turin, and the head of the Stellantis Group.
