Neighborhood markets dedicated to the holy month of Ramadan will launch next week across 69 provinces. The initiative aims to bring products closer to citizens, enhance availability, and contribute to market stability during this period.
This announcement follows a coordination meeting held on Monday, chaired by the Minister of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation, Amal Abdellatif. The meeting was dedicated to finalizing preparations for the month of Ramadan.
The meeting included heads and representatives of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, the National Union of Public Contractors, the Association of Algerian Beverage Producers, the National Confederation of Algerian Employers, the Contractors and Industrialists Club, and the Algerian Confederation of Citizen Employers, along with heads and directors of public economic groups and ministry officials.
During the meeting, participants agreed on the active participation of economic operators and public groups in organizing and activating the scheduled neighborhood markets. This collaboration is intended to ensure a regular supply, diversify offerings, and provide citizens with easy access to various consumer goods, thereby strengthening market stability during the holy month.
The Minister also praised the involvement of economic operators in initiatives to reduce prices for Ramadan. She noted that these initiatives reflect a high level of social responsibility and national duty, serving as a fundamental pillar in supporting market stability and protecting the purchasing power of citizens.
