Syrian artist Ahmed Milli passes away

Syrian artist Ahmed Milli passed away on Sunday at the age of 77, following a sudden health crisis that required his admission to the intensive care unit at the National Hospital in Damascus, according to the Syrian newspaper Al-Watan.

A state of sadness prevailed among his colleagues and fans, who mourned him with touching words on social media, recalling his decades-long career and the significant contributions he made to the artistic and dramatic movement in Syria.

Milli was born in Damascus in 1949. He was married and had four children. He began his artistic career in the early 1970s and joined the Syrian Artists Syndicate in 1972.

The late artist participated in numerous theatrical, television, cinematic, and radio works, establishing a distinguished presence in the Syrian artistic scene.
