The National Meteorological Office has reported strong winds and heavy rainfall across several provinces of the country.
A weather alert from the office warned of strong winds exceeding 80 km/h, starting from 09:00 this morning until 21:00, in the provinces of Timimoun, Adrar, El Menia, In Salah, Ouargla, Touggourt, and El Oued.
Another alert predicted strong winds starting from noon today, Tuesday, until 18:00, in the provinces of Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abbes, Naama, El Bayadh, and Tindouf.
The meteorological services also issued a warning for significant local thunderstorms starting from noon today until midnight.
Rain is expected in the provinces of Algiers, Blida, Medea, Djelfa, Tipaza, Ain Defla, Tissemsilt, Tiaret, Chlef, Relizane, Mascara, Saida, Mostaganem, Oran, Ain Temouchent, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Constantine, Mila, Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Batna, Oum El Bouaghi, Khenchela, and Tebessa.
