Launch of the Annual National Campaign for Declaring Wages and Employees

The National Social Insurance Fund for Salaried Workers has launched its annual national campaign for declaring wages and employees, running from January 1 to 31.

In this context, Safia Bousiala, Director of the Algiers agency of the fund, confirmed during a press conference on Monday that this campaign is a legal obligation stipulated by Law 83-14 regarding employers’ social security obligations.

She added that the objective is to protect citizens’ rights regarding social coverage, retirement, and access to all benefits provided by social security.

Within the framework of management modernization, Bousiala highlighted the digital services available on the fund’s electronic portal. These services include remote declaration of wages and employees, as well as the automatic deduction of social security contributions for both private and public sector employers. This allows them to settle contributions through banks via regular automatic deductions, saving them the trouble of traveling to the fund’s offices.

Furthermore, she revealed that the annual declaration of wages and employees is conducted remotely through the electronic portal, as is the case for the automatic deduction of contributions.

Regarding technical issues facing the new platforms, Bousiala offered reassurance, stating that the electronic portal for remote declaration is not new. She noted that while there were initial problems common to any new application, there are currently no issues regarding declarations or the use of digital services available to employers and all fund users.
