Biskra Gendarmerie Issues Appeal to the Public

The Regional Group of the National Gendarmerie in Biskra has released photos of individuals residing in the municipality of Biskra suspected of committing multiple crimes using postal accounts and phone numbers.

According to a statement from the National Gendarmerie Command, the alleged crimes include fraud and scamming the public, as well as the misdemeanor of impersonating a legally defined official of the Algeria Post institution. The suspects are also accused of the illegal collection of personal data without consent or authorization, including CCP accounts, secret codes, citizens’ phone numbers, and addresses.

Furthermore, the suspects are accused of crimes against automated data processing systems. These include fraudulent access to the Baridimob system and the financial system of Algeria Post, as well as the fraudulent modification of system data, such as transferring funds and altering balances. Other charges include the fraudulent search and collection of stored data, the possession and use of data obtained through these crimes, and participation in a group or agreement to compromise the system.

The Regional Group of the National Gendarmerie in Biskra has issued an appeal to any individual who may have fallen victim to these persons to file a formal complaint or provide testimony regarding this case or similar incidents. Victims can contact the Research and Investigation Department of the National Gendarmerie in Biskra or any National Gendarmerie unit across the country.
