The National Meteorological Office reported on Wednesday that thunderstorms with rainfall amounts ranging between 20 mm and 60 mm are expected across several provinces of the country.
In a Level 2 orange alert, the office explained that the expected rainfall in the provinces of Mostaganem, Chlef, Relizane, Tissemsilt, and Tiaret will range between 20 mm and 40 mm, and may reach or exceed 50 mm locally, starting from Wednesday morning until 11:00 PM.
The office also indicated that the expected rainfall in the provinces of Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Ain Defla, Blida, Medea, and Bouira will range between 30 mm and 50 mm, and may reach or exceed 60 mm locally, with this weather disturbance expected to continue until Thursday.
In the same context, the office reported that the provinces of Jijel, Skikda, Mila, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif, northern M’Sila, Batna, and northern Biskra will experience heavy rainfall ranging between 20 mm and 40 mm starting today and continuing until Thursday.
