Orientation Meeting for Tourism Agencies Participating in Hajj Organization

Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmehdi, alongside the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, chaired an orientation meeting for tourism and travel agencies involved in organizing Hajj and Umrah. According to a ministry statement, the meeting was dedicated to discussing organizational measures aimed at enhancing the quality of services provided to pilgrims.

In his speech, Minister Youcef Belmehdi emphasized that the Algerian state, under the guidance of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, attaches great importance to the Hajj and Umrah file, considering it a direct service to citizens. Belmehdi noted that the government, through full coordination between various relevant sectors, is working to provide the best organizational, health, and logistical conditions for pilgrims, in complete harmony with the regulations adopted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He also highlighted that the success of the previous season serves as an incentive to continue joint work and constantly improve service quality. For his part, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, affirmed the Saudi leadership’s commitment to providing the best services to the guests of Allah, in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince.

Al-Rabiah praised the level of coordination with the Algerian side, emphasizing the continuous pursuit of developing organization and improving services during upcoming seasons to ensure the comfort of pilgrims and the protection of their rights.

Additionally, the Director General of the National Office of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tahar Beraik, delivered a speech highlighting the importance of this meeting in strengthening field and institutional coordination. He pointed to efforts made in modernizing management and developing organization and care mechanisms to meet the expectations of the Algerian state and contribute to the success of Hajj and Umrah seasons.

Representing tourism and travel agencies, Abdelhamid Bachir confirmed the commitment of these agencies to follow the organizational directives issued by both ministries. He stated that they aim to act as effective field partners in improving professional performance and enhancing cooperation with various partners to ensure the provision of services befitting Algerian pilgrims.
