The Directorate of Military Industries of the Ministry of National Defense, through the Automotive Industry Development Establishment at the Port of Algiers, began receiving the second shipment of 134 buses of various types on Friday.
This operation is part of the delivery of 6,800 buses from foreign partners in the People’s Republic of China and the Federal Republic of Germany.
The operation falls within the framework of implementing the program of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, which stipulates the import of 10,000 new buses intended to renew the national passenger transport fleet.
This follows the personal supervision of the General, Delegate Minister to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army.
The delivery of the remaining quantity of buses is expected to continue over the next few days.
