The National Meteorological Office has reported strong winds and thunderstorms across several provinces of the country.
In an alert issued this Saturday, the office predicted significant thunderstorms until noon today in the provinces of Boumerdes, Algiers, Blida, Medea, Tipaza, Ain Defla, Chlef, Relizane, Mascara, Saida, Mostaganem, Oran, Ain Temouchent, Sidi Bel Abbes, Tissemsilt, Tiaret, Tlemcen, Tebessa, and Khenchela.
Another alert indicated significant thunderstorms starting from noon today until 6:00 PM in the provinces of El Tarf, Guelma, Tizi Ouzou, and Bejaia.
Furthermore, the office warned of continued strong winds until 3:00 PM this afternoon in the provinces of Oran, Algiers, M’Sila, Naama, El Bayadh, Laghouat, El Meniaa, Timimoun, El Oued, Touggourt, Ouargla, and Illizi.
