President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received a delegation from the FIFA at El Mouradia Palace, led by former Germany international Jürgen Klinsmann. The delegation presented the official trophy of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, in which Algeria’s national team will participate.
The meeting focused on Algeria’s engagement with international football and ongoing efforts to develop the sport at both elite and grassroots levels. President Tebboune reiterated the state’s support for football as a key sector for youth development and international representation.
