The National Company for Rail Transport has announced the schedules and ticket prices for the international train service connecting Algeria and Tunisia. According to a company statement, the train departs from Annaba station on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 9:00 AM, arriving in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, at 6:27 PM, with stops in Souk Ahras, Ghardimaou, Jendouba, and Béja.
Return trips depart from Tunis station on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8:25 AM, arriving at Annaba station at 6:20 PM. Border crossing procedures are conducted at the Souk Ahras International Station for the Algerian side and at Ghardimaou Station for the Tunisian side.
Passengers can purchase tickets from the Annaba and Souk Ahras stations, as well as from stations in Algiers, Oran, and Constantine. Ticket prices are competitive and accessible, with first-class tickets priced at 1,900 DZD and second-class tickets at 1,640 DZD. For round-trip travel, the first-class fare is 3,485 DZD, while the second-class fare is 3,040 DZD.
The statement also noted that travel is free for children under the age of 4, while children aged 4 to 12 are eligible for a 50 percent discount.
