Neighborhood markets opened their doors to citizens on Monday across various provinces in anticipation of the month of Ramadan, according to a statement from the Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation.
The markets were opened under the supervision of local governors and the patronage of the Minister of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation, Amal Abdellatif.
This initiative aims to ensure a regular supply to the national market and bring goods and services closer to citizens, particularly as the holy month of Ramadan approaches, by providing organized shopping spaces at competitive prices.
A total of 560 neighborhood markets have been opened nationwide, spanning 69 provinces.
The statement added that a national awareness campaign was also launched to encourage rational consumption and reduce waste, aiming to promote responsible consumer behavior and a culture of moderation during the holy month.
