Prime Minister Saifi Gharib chaired a joint ministerial council meeting on Monday to review the progress of the integrated phosphate project, which spans three provinces: Tébessa, Souk Ahras, and Annaba.
This is a significant project for the development of the national mining and industrial sector, which possesses exploitable reserves of 840 million tons of phosphate. The project aims for an annual production of 10.5 million tons of raw phosphate.
On this occasion, several measures were taken to enhance inter-sectoral coordination and mobilize all necessary resources to meet the deadlines set by the President of the Republic for the completion of this project by its scheduled date at the end of 2026.
