Members of the Regional Gendarmerie Brigade in Reguiba, El Oued, have solved a crime involving the formation of a criminal gang for the purpose of committing a felony, premeditated murder, and arson of private property. The suspects were arrested in less than 24 hours.
According to a statement from the National Gendarmerie, the case began when the brigade received a report from the emergency department of El Oued Hospital regarding the death of an individual who had sustained severe injuries across his body.
The same brigade received another report from Civil Protection units in Reguiba concerning a burnt vehicle on National Road 48. Investigations revealed that the incident was linked to the death of the individual.
Following a thorough examination of the crime scene and the activation of intelligence efforts, the suspects were identified and apprehended within less than 24 hours. They were then taken to the brigade headquarters for further investigation.
The Regional Gendarmerie Brigade in Reguiba has opened an investigation into the case, and the detainees will be presented before the competent judicial authorities.
