The Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, Omar Rekkach, stated that the agency has made developing industrial subcontracting and attracting integrated investments a fundamental pillar of its strategy, particularly in sectors that directly impact the increase of local integration.
During his speech at the opening of the “Mechanica Algeria” international exhibition in Oran, Rekkach explained that this approach has been implemented through the agency’s active participation in numerous meetings and specialized workshops on industrial subcontracting, notably those organized by the Stellantis group at both national and international levels. These efforts aim to connect investors, highlight subcontracting opportunities in Algeria, and attract operators capable of integrating into local supply chains.
He added that the event showcases many successful experiences in industry and subcontracting, describing them as realistic models that have proven their ability to meet challenges and establish a presence in the market.
Rekkach also emphasized that the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency plays a pivotal role in supporting project holders by helping them develop their products, improve quality, and expand production lines. This support is intended to enhance their competitiveness and their ability to integrate into industrial value chains.
He further noted that the ultimate goal remains to generalize successful experiences, expand the subcontracting network, and contribute effectively to increasing local integration rates while building a strong and sustainable national industry.
