The CEO of Stellantis Algeria, Raoui Beji, stated that Fiat Algeria’s participation in the first edition of the “Mechanica” exhibition is part of efforts to strengthen local integration and contribute to building a strong and competitive automotive industry in Algeria. In his speech on the occasion, Beji explained that during the three-day event, locally produced parts and components will be displayed, resulting from cooperation with 13 Algerian suppliers for the factory and 13 for after-sales services.
He also revealed the display of several symbolic vehicles manufactured in Tafraoui, including the Doblo utility and Doblo Panorama, as well as the new Fiat Grande Panda. The CEO of Stellantis Algeria considered the “Mechanica” exhibition an opportunity to exchange views with industrialists and investors interested in automotive subcontracting, adding that teams would be available to identify expertise and explore new prospects for cooperation.
In this context, the official announced the signing of five new partnerships, particularly in the field of sheet metal stamping, representing a significant step in developing production under the CKD system. This is in addition to four other partnerships that will support the local manufacturing of spare parts.
Through these commitments, Fiat confirms its goal of reaching a local integration rate exceeding 30 percent by 2026, while actively contributing to value creation, job creation, and the rapid development of the national industrial fabric’s capabilities.
