Mourad Senoussi, the acting manager of the Algiers Opera, has revealed the main features of the cultural and artistic program scheduled for the upcoming month of Ramadan. The program includes 15 artistic evenings running from February 26 to March 16, starting at 10:00 PM.

During a press conference held at the institution’s headquarters, the spokesperson explained that the opera’s program will feature artistic diversity reflecting the richness of Algerian musical styles. The lineup of artists scheduled to perform includes several names, such as Hamidou, Samir Toumi, Rabah Asma, Salim Fergani, Nardjes, and Meriem Benallal.

In the same context, the Algiers Opera will host Lebanese artist Marcel Khalife for two performances scheduled for February 28 and March 1. Senoussi added that Khalife is expected to present a musical performance accompanied by his ensemble.

The opera management has taken several measures for the benefit of the public, including a 50 percent discount for people with special needs, along with the allocation of suitable seating within the performance hall.

A contract will also be signed with a private transport company to provide discounts of up to 50 percent for audience members traveling to the opera.

Furthermore, a library has been prepared in the institution’s lobby, allowing visitors to borrow or read books on-site. The spokesperson also noted that space has been opened for visual artists to display their paintings in the opera’s exhibition gallery.
