Participants in the African Union Summit, held under the theme “Ensuring the availability of water and safe sanitation systems to achieve the goals of Agenda 2063,” will focus on exploring opportunities to enhance continental cooperation and coordinate efforts among member states, with an emphasis on economic, political, and social integration.
The Africa-Italy Summit will also discuss ways to support the partnership between the two sides, particularly by strengthening efforts to implement the Mattei Plan, which was adopted during the first edition of this summit held in Rome on January 28 and 29, 2024.
In addition to participating in these two summits, the Prime Minister will take part in a series of high-level meetings, including the Forum of Heads of State and Government of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), the Committee of Heads of State and Government on Climate Change, and the Committee of Ten on the Reform of the United Nations Security Council. These meetings aim to strengthen common African positions on these important issues through intensified consultation and coordination among member states.
This participation embodies Algeria’s firm commitment to supporting joint African action, promoting development paths, and upholding the principles of solidarity and continental integration.
