Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, held bilateral talks today, Thursday, in Addis Ababa, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Lejone Mpotjoane, on the sidelines of his participation in the African Union Executive Council meetings.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the meeting was an opportunity for the Minister of State to congratulate Lesotho’s Foreign Minister on his country’s election to the African Union Peace and Security Council. He also affirmed Algeria’s readiness to enhance coordination within this important body to contribute to security and peace across the African continent.
On the bilateral level, both parties agreed to explore further cooperation opportunities between the two countries, particularly in the economic and developmental fields.
