The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, Yacine Oualid, accompanied by the Minister of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation, Amel Abdellatif, inaugurated a new dairy plant in Rouiba, Algiers, on Thursday.
The Minister of Agriculture and the Minister of Internal Trade also launched the production line for Ultra-High Temperature (UHT) sterilized milk. During the event, the Minister of Agriculture stated that the new milk factory spans four hectares, with a daily production capacity of one million liters of pasteurized milk.
Yacine Oualid added that the factory also produces 200,000 liters of UHT sterilized milk per day.
For her part, the Minister of Internal Trade confirmed that the new dairy plant will inject additional quantities of milk into the market. She added, “This dairy plant will help us supply additional quantities of milk to the market, ensuring better supply for Algerian consumers and meeting their needs.”
