A carbon monoxide leak caused the death of five people in Skikda province on Friday.
A statement from the Civil Protection services reported that its units intervened at approximately 10:25 AM to assist five people suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning emitted from a heater in the Mohamed Zebouche neighborhood, Ain Bouziane municipality, Sidi Mezghiche district.
The same source explained that the incident resulted in the death of the five victims—two men, two women, and a child—and their bodies were transferred to the morgue at the local hospital.
